Dental Services

Hygiene

This practice maintains an extraordinary focus on dental hygiene and the role of the dental hygienist in allowing you to stay healthy for the rest of your life. In very basic terms, if your gums aren't healthy, then neither are you. From a dental perspective, if your gums are not healthy, then you will be much more prone to continuing dental problems. From a general health perspective, the links between unhealthy gums and heart disease and many other medical conditions, are too secure to ignore. We choose not to ignore the health of your mouth as having a direct influence on your general health and will do all that we can to ensure that your dental health is not the weak link in your ability to stay healthy.

General Dentistry

These are the services that you could probably expect to find in any dental office in the country. However, we have a very different focus from many dental offices. It is our firm belief that the best dentistry you can have is no dentistry at all. We are also acutely aware that many people are well and truly past the point of having no dentistry. However, the type of dentistry that they have, or elect to have, has a big influence on how much dentistry they will have in the future. For example, large mercury/silver fillings will not allow you to stay well. Similarly, fillings that extend under the gums will not allow you to stay well. We will provide you with the options that allow you to stay well, look better, chew better, be stronger and last longer than other options that do not provide the level of technical excellence that we would expect in our own mouths.

Aesthetic Dentistry

When we examine your mouth aesthetically, we will offer you the best smile possible. We use only the best materials, techniques and dental laboratories, so that you can have the best result. All dentists claim to offer "cosmetic services" but we have taken it to a new level.

Neuromuscular Dentistry

Your bite, or occlusion, is simply the position of your jaw when your teeth are together. Your occlusion is very important and can affect your health in many ways. Until recently, most dentistry has been based on the assumption that wherever your bite naturally occurs, is the correct position. However, natural (habitual) occlusion is not always necessarily a fully functional and comfortable position.
